Welcome to Grandmothers 4 Grandmothers Regina (G4G Regina)

FABRIC, YARN & MORE SALE 2026

We’re excited to be holding our Fabric, Yarn & More sale again this year! Many of us get quite excited when all kinds of interesting types of fabric, yarn and notions are donated. We carefully open the boxes and bags and often ‘ooo’ and ‘ahhhh’ at what we find.

We are thankful for your generosity. There are some things that are difficult to sell and therefore we would prefer that you not bring: bolts of fabric, books, magazines, patterns, furniture.  For a list of fabrics that we are able to accept and sell, please email us at g4gregina@gmail.com.

ART FROM THE ATTIC 2025

Art from the Attic #11 is in the bag and lots of thank you’s are due!

First to Pat and Don Urzada, who loaned us their property on Albert Street, even postponing a potential renter to October 1st.

To our four drop off locations, Atelier Arts, Colorburst Paint and Wallpaper, Elements of Colour, and Fire & Ice Jewelry.

To Robin Schlaht of the Saskatchewan Network for Art Collecting (SKNAC) for assistance with research and pricing, and for accepting 45 pieces for auction at 50% of his regular fee.

To Bev Gherasim for re-matting several of our pieces

To Laura Pence, former owner of Framemasters, for spending several afternoons with us, helping to put together art, mattes and frames.

and, to the Cathedral Community Association for partnering with us to provide our sales venue free of charge.

This popular event raises funds that support the life-enhancing programs run by grandmothers in Africa and the community-led organizations who support them. The Grandmothers movement amplifies the voices and expertise of grandmothers in Africa, and shows the world that leadership by older women is critical in reclaiming hope and rebuilding resilience across communities.

JOIN US!

As always, we welcome new members. You don’t have to be a grandmother to join. Just ask yourself these questions:
  • Is altruism and being part of a community important to you?
  • Are you interested increasing social awareness and social justice such as human rights?
  • Are you motivated to support African community-led initiatives by hosting or participating in events in Regina to raise awareness and funds?
  • Are your values aligned with the Grandmothers Campaign’s grassroots approach in dismantling gender inequity, and interest in helping to empower other women?

If your answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, then G4G Regina might be the place that meets your needs. Please contact us at g4gregina@gmail.com for more information, or to find out about our next meeting.
